Welcome to August at CSI, Investigators!
We’re savoring the last golden stretch of summer with two new Case Files that invite you to slow down, wander, and capture the beauty of travel and leisure. August’s challenges are steeped in sunshine and serenity—perfect for documenting adventures near or far, or simply the art of pausing to enjoy life’s small pleasures.
Our first Case File, No. 482, takes us globe‑trotting with a Travel Journal theme—maps, postcards, and bright pops of teal, orange, and chartreuse that echo the excitement of exploration. It’s all about journeys big and small, whether you’re crossing continents or rediscovering your own backyard.
Our second Case File, No. 483, transports us to the Mediterranean coast, where lemon trees sway over pastel rooftops and the sea sparkles in shades of cerulean and salmon pink. This one celebrates slowing down—savoring the scent of citrus, the hum of a scooter, and the glow of seaside calm.
Both August Case Files will remain open through September 4, giving you plenty of time to gather your clues, follow your creative compass, and craft layouts that tell your summer stories in vivid color.
Our Detective Squad is always hot on the trail of standout scrappers! If your layout leaves us awestruck, you just might get deputized as a Guest Detective. We’ll be combing through the case files on the 4th of each month, so make sure your evidence—er, layout—is filed in the album by then. And don’t worry—our cold cases are always open, so feel free to revisit old clues whenever inspiration strikes. Crack enough crafty cases and leave a trail of wow-worthy work… and you could find yourself recruited to our elite Design Team Task Force!

Case File No. 483 – Mediterranean Summer
If Case File 482 celebrates the journey, Case File 483 revels in the destination. This month’s travel‑themed Case File invites you into a world of exploration, curiosity, and sun‑soaked adventure. The Scene is filled with the charm of documenting a journey—maps unfolding across a table, postcards tucked into journals, ticket stubs, luggage tags, and snapshots that capture the places and moments that shape our stories. Think handwritten notes, colorful travel ephemera, scenic views, and the joyful ritual of preserving memories before they fade.
The palette is vibrant and energetic—teal, orange, chartreuse, and soft neutrals that echo the colors of summer wanderings. These hues evoke everything from bright city streets to breezy coastal paths, inviting you to explore themes of discovery, movement, reflection, and the magic of stepping outside your everyday routine.
You’ll find a full set of traditional clues at the bottom of the reveal, but you’re also welcome to draw inspiration straight from the Scene. Whether it’s the bold palette, the travel motifs, the sense of adventure, or a title that sparks a story, follow the clues wherever they lead.
