April Case Files - First Reveal | Deadline: May 4 (and Beyond)

Happy April, CSI Investigators! We're excited to bring you a new month of fun and inspiring scrapbooking challenges and lots of beautiful inspiration from our design team and guest designers.

For this first reveal, we'll be sharing inspiration for our first Case File. On the 15th, we'll be sharing inspiration for our second Case File.

GUEST DETECTIVE SPOTS

We'll be inviting some players whose work catches our eye to serve as Guest Detectives along the way. We'll investigate the albums on the 4th of the month, so if you're interested in serving as a Guest Detective, make sure you have your layout in the album by the 4th. (But feel free to use past Case Files as inspiration any time.)

And you never know, if your work really wows us, you might even be asked to join our talented design team.

CASE FILES

This month, we're April Showers and Earth Day with our Case Files. Our first Case File image was selected by CSI Detective Cassie Wiscarson, and our second image was chosen by CSI Detctive Lacey Robinson.

As always, you don't have to scrap these topics. Draw your own inspiration from The Scene on the Case File, or you can use the traditional clues, which can be found at the bottom of this blog post.

GUEST  DETECTIVES

Here's what this month's guest designers created with this month's first Case File.

Debra Beer

My name is Debra Beer, I live in the Upper Hunter Valley of NSW, Australia.
I am mother to 2 beautiful daughters and 5 amazing grandchildren.
I have been scrapping for over 25 years, and love it, especially entering challenges.
My interests include scrapping, photography, travel and spending time with family.
I am thrilled to be Guest Designer for CSI Challenges.

How I solved the Case: I was really inspired by the industrial feel of the Case File image.I was inspired by the colours of the Moodboard. I used cogs, chains etc that I heat embossed to give a grungy feel. I also added solid colours, string, ruler/ tape measure, frames/films trips.

Donna Coughlin

Hello, My name is Donna Coughlin and I live outside of Reading, PA. I recently retired (YAH!) and enjoying every moment. I love to travel, especially Disney and the beach. I have been scrapbooking since 2002. I was on various design teams but about 2 years ago, I decided to stop doing that, but for now I just want to focus on catching up on tons of pictures I have of my 11 grandchildren and vacation pictures. I really enjoy the CSI challenges and I was thrilled when I was asked to be a guest designer!

How Donna solved the Case: For the evidence I used stripes, grid inspried by the crane, leaves. For the testimony I put my journaling in a frame For the Scheme I used aqua, palest blue orange and a little bit of azure.

Nicole Lacoste

I have been scrapbooking for over 20 years. I have 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild who are my models for my pages. I make pages, cards, and recently, a bit of art journaling.

Here's how Nicole solved the Case: I was inspired by the colors aqua and yellow, I chose: stripes, light bulb, transparent items (butterfly and leaves) ruler, gears. This is my great-grandson (20 months) and I preparing dinner. I hope you will like it.
