Hello CSI Investigators!
We’re back with our Mid‑Month Reveal, and today we’re shining the spotlight on Case File No. 473 — the bold, high‑energy companion to this month’s softer, more serene first Case File. March is all about celebrating National Craft Month and International Ideas Month, and this second Case File brings the spark, the movement, and the creative ignition to keep your imagination buzzing.
Both March Case Files remain open until April 4, 2026, so there’s still plenty of time to gather your clues, sift through your stash, and join the investigation.
Our Detective Squad is always hot on the trail of standout scrappers! If your layout leaves us awestruck, you just might get deputized as a Guest Detective. We’ll be combing through the case files on the 4th of each month, so make sure your evidence—er, layout—is filed in the album by then. And don’t worry—our cold cases are always open, so feel free to revisit old clues whenever inspiration strikes. Crack enough crafty cases and leave a trail of wow-worthy work… and you could find yourself recruited to our elite Design Team Task Force!
At CSI, we love giving our Case Files a playful twist, and February's Cold Case investigations are full of energy to get us out of the winter doldrums--it's downright frigid here in Maryland as I write this blog post!
Case File No. 470 - There’s something magical about women gathered around a table — papers scattered, brushes in jars, light streaming through windows, quiet conversation and shared creativity filling the room.
Case File No. 472 is a love letter to those moments.
Soft greens, muted purples, earthy tones, cool gray, and touches of lotion white set a calm, creative mood. The palette feels like watercolor on wood — gentle, layered, welcoming.
Case File No. 469 - If Case File 472 is about gathering, Case File 473 is about ignition.
Bold teal, vibrant red, creamy yellow, and graphic black-and-white elements create energy and movement. Light bulbs, speech bubbles, gears, arrows, puzzle pieces — this is brainstorming on paper.
And remember—you’re never limited to the theme itself. Let the Scenes spark your imagination, or follow the traditional clues at the bottom of this post to guide your investigation. However you interpret the evidence, we can’t wait to see how you solve the Case!
Looking for the traditional CSI clues? You’ll find them at the bottom of this post and on our Facebook page—just head to the first entry under the Case File album (click the Case File images above to go straight there).
Ready to submit your layout? Click on the Case Files in our sidebar to be taken to the corresponding Facebook album, where you can upload your evidence for all to see!
This scene is filled with:
Bold teal, vibrant red, creamy yellow
Graphic black‑and‑white elements
Light bulbs, gears, arrows, puzzle pieces, speech bubbles
Movement, energy, and brainstorm‑in‑action vibes
It’s a Case File that practically hums with possibility. Whether you lean into the theme of ideas taking shape or simply follow the traditional clues, this one is designed to get your creativity moving.
Investigators, are you ready to crack the case?
Our Design Team dove into Case File No. 473 with boldness and imagination. You’ll see:
Dynamic compositions full of movement
Pops of bright, energetic color
Clever storytelling inspired by ideas, creativity, and momentum
Mixed‑media textures that echo gears, sparks, and brainstorms
Playful embellishments like arrows, bulbs, and graphic shapes
Be sure to visit our Instagram page throughout the month to see close‑ups, process shots, and additional inspiration from our Detectives.
Scroll through the reveal and take note of what catches your eye — color choices, embellishment styles, journaling approaches, or overall mood. Those details might just be the clues you need to solve your own case.
Investigators, the clues are scattered across the table — tucked between bright colors, graphic shapes, and idea‑spark imagery — just waiting for you to gather them up.
Will you document the moment inspiration struck? Will you tell a story about creativity, problem‑solving, or momentum? Or will you weave together both the quiet planning and the bright spark of an idea?
Use what ignites your creativity and challenge yourself to gather as many clues as you can carry.
Your mission:
Investigate the scene
Assemble the evidence
Craft your layout
Tell the story only you can tell
The case is open. The ideas are sparking. The clues are yours to follow.

We’re confident the clues inside these March Case Files will give you everything you need to crack them wide open. You have until April 4 to submit your layouts — and even more time if you’re hoping to step into the Guest Detective spotlight (be sure to check the briefing for all the details).
We cannot wait to see how you interpret the evidence — whether you gather around the creative table or chase a bright new idea. When your case is complete, share your finished layouts in our Facebook Group. The albums are ready and waiting for your reports.
The supplies are scattered, the ideas are sparking, and March’s Cases are officially open.
Let the crafting — and the investigating — begin.
