September Scrapbooking Challenge Case Files - First Reveal | Deadline: October 4

Calling all CSI Investigators (a.k.a. crafty sleuths)! The school bell rings, and it’s time to head back into the halls of creativity. This September, we’re celebrating all things school and reading with two brand-new Case Files:

  • Case File No. 462 puts us right in the middle of a busy classroom, complete with rows of desks, piles of books, and kids hard at work.

  • Case File No. 463 (coming later this month!) is perfect for telling stories about reading—whether that’s cozying up with a book, library trips, or passing down a favorite story.

Whether you’re documenting first-day jitters, scholastic achievements, or quiet storytime moments, this month’s Cases will help you preserve those back-to-school and book-loving memories.

And don’t forget—Case File No. 463 is waiting in the evidence locker for extra credit! Both cases close on October 4, 2025, so grab your magnifying glass, hit the books, and crack one—or both—before the deadline!

ANNOUNCEMENT: NEW DETECTIVE ON THE CASE!

We’re thrilled to welcome a brand-new CSI Detective to our squad: Paula Davis! Paula’s creative work has been impressing us for months, and we just knew she’d make an incredible addition to our team. Her layouts are full of clever details, beautiful storytelling, and fresh ideas that are sure to inspire your own investigations.

Here's a bit about Paula, in her own words:

My name is Paula Davis and I live in Leicester, England. I am Wife, Mum & Grandma. Retired from working in accounts for 45 years mainly in the Insurance industry. I have been scrapbooking for over 20 years and love making memories for the future generations to enjoy. You can see my work on my instagram page pd1505.

Be sure to check out Paula’s first “case report” below—you won’t want to miss the way she cracked this month’s Scene wide open!

GUEST DETECTIVE SPOTS

Our Detective Squad is always hot on the trail of standout scrappers! If your layout leaves us awestruck, you just might get deputized as a Guest Detective. We’ll be combing through the case files on the 4th of each month, so make sure your evidence—er, layout—is filed in the album by then. And don’t worry—our cold cases are always open, so feel free to revisit old clues whenever inspiration strikes. Crack enough crafty cases and leave a trail of wow-worthy work… and you could find yourself recruited to our elite Design Team Task Force!

CASE FILES

September has us sharpening our pencils and cracking open the books! This month’s Case Files are packed with scholastic spirit and book-lover charm—perfect for documenting first-day-of-school traditions, library visits, cozy reading nooks, or any story about learning and growth. From pops of school-bus yellow and chalkboard green to cozy, bookish textures, our September Scenes will get your creativity buzzing.

But remember—you don’t have to stick to a back-to-school or reading theme to solve the case. Let The Scene inspire your story, or use the traditional clues to guide your investigation—you’ll find them at the bottom of this post. However you choose to play, we can’t wait to see where the evidence leads you!
