If you haven't had a chance to play with our first Case File, no worries--both Cases stay open through the 4th of the next month (and beyond if you're inspired after our deadlines).
GUEST DETECTIVE SPOTS
We'll be inviting some players whose work catches our eye to serve as Guest Detectives along the way. We'll investigate the albums on the 4th of the month, so if you're interested in serving as a Guest Detective, make sure you have your layout in the album by the 4th. (But feel free to use past Case Files as inspiration any time.)

CASE FILES
We know you've got lots of Christmas pictures to scrap, so we chose our first Case File with that in mind, but it also serves to celebrate the new year. For our second challenge, we're celebrating International Creativity Month with our Case File. As always, you don't have to scrap the topics illustrated in the Case Files. Draw your own inspiration from The Scene, or you can use the traditional clues, which can be found at the bottom of this blog post.

The traditional CSI clues can be found on our Facebook page in the first entry under the album. Just click on the Case File images above. They are also posted at the bottom of this reveal.
To submit your layouts, click on the Case Files in our sidebar, which will bring you to the individual albums in our Facebook group.
GUEST DETECTIVES
I have been scrapbooking on and off for 30 years. I don't scrap chronologically and I don't feel the need to journal on all of my pages. My albums are all jumbled up. One layout may be of my granddaughter's 3rd birthday and the next layout may be from a recent vacation my husband and I took. I think it makes looking through the albums more exciting.
This hobby brings me joy and excitement and I don't want to put a single ounce of pressure on myself to "get it done". I am also a huge advocate of "there are no rules in scrapbooking". It is so much more important that we are enjoying ourselves than it is that we follow someone else's idea of what scrapbooking is "supposed to be". I am so grateful to be chosen as this month's guest designer!
I hope you enjoy this layout and I look forward to seeing each of your layouts too. XOXO, Brandy
Here's how Brandi solved the second Case: I used the January prompt "the last fictional book you read." I included polka dots, houses, leaves (and a tree), an insect or animal (a mollusk), book, arches, circle things and a tab. I really like having the Testimony prompts. They help me when I’ve scrapped “all my photos.”
I live in Central Kentucky with my wonderful husband and I love scrapbooking my kiddos and my grandson, Hayes. I'm super excited to be the guest designer for the new year.
The CSI challenges always inspire me to be my most creative. You can see more of my paper crafting on Instagram at Keely Lowe Designs.
Here's how Keely solved our second Case File: In addition to the color scheme I used wood grain, hearts, leaves, bees and butterflies, a chicken, jar, labels, inks, and circular things. My topic was related to my home as I watch my grandson 2 days a week and this documents some of our adventures.
DESIGN TEAM INSPIRATION

CASE FILE CLUES
Choose as many or as few as you are inspired to use! You don't have to use all of the categories of clues. Use what inspires you, or challenge yourself to use as many clues as you can. Or just use the image to inspire you as you wish!

We trust we've provided enough clues for you to solve the Cases! You have until February 4 (and beyond--read about this in the Guest Detective section), to solve both cases. We can't wait to see what you'll create! Upload your creations in our Facebook Group (album links in sidebar).
