October 2019 Case Files | First Reveal

It's already October! Where did September go? No worries--a new month brings all kinds of excitement here at CSI! Besides our three new Case Files, we've got new sponsors and new guest designers.

For this first reveal, we'll be sharing inspiration from the design team and guest designers for our first Case File. On the 15th, we'll be sharing inspiration from the design team and guest designers for our second Case File. Somewhere in between, we'll be posting our Cold Case File, our special stash-busting challenge.

This month, we have eight generous sponsors donating prizes. Click here to read more about our sponsors and the prizes they are donating. Winners will be selected randomly from all of our players, with a few exceptions where sponsors have asked us to choose from certain geographic regions.

The trees are starting to turn golden here and pumpkin spice is showing up everywhere. With autumn in the air, we're dedicating our first October Case File to autumn, and of course we must celebrate Halloween with one of our Case Files. Our Cold Case File was chosen because World Space Week happens in October.  Draw your own inspiration from The Scene on the Case File, or you can use the traditional clues, which can be found at the bottom of this blog post.

We're thrilled to have the members of the design teams from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and Scrap Accent joining us as Guest Detectives this month. You are sure to be inspired by their beautiful work!

And now, are you ready for some serious inspiration? Here's what our design team and guest designers created with Case File No. 297. We will share their creations for Case File No. 299 and the Cold Case on the 15th.

Here's how our inspiring Guest Designers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio solved the Case:

How Gwen solved the Case: The moment I saw the Scene from the challenge I immediately thought of the 'Tis the Season' collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. The soft peach and coral tones and the fall 'vibe' of the image really appeal to me. I also pulled inspiration from the trees in the picture, with many reminding me of pine or Christmas trees so decided on creating a Christmas themed page.

The talented team from Scrap Accent rocked the Case too:

The CSI design team masterfully cracked the Case. We'll share how they solved the Case on Facebook.
