July is in full swing, and we’re thrilled to return with our mid‑month reveal—a festive celebration of Case File No. 481 and the brilliant work of our design team. This challenge captures the heart of Independence Day with its bold palette, patriotic motifs, and joyful summer spirit. As fireworks fade and the season settles into its sun‑soaked rhythm, our community continues to shine with creativity, storytelling, and inspired interpretations of the clues.
Today, we’re excited to share how our talented team cracked this Case File, each layout bursting with color, movement, and the magic of midsummer memories.
And don’t forget—if life has kept you busy and you haven’t had a chance to tackle our first July challenge yet, there’s still plenty of time. Both July Case Files remain open through August 4, giving you room to gather your evidence, follow the clues, and craft your layouts at your own pace.

We’ll be combing through the case files on the 4th of each month, so make sure your evidence—er, layout—is filed in the album by then. And don’t worry—our cold cases are always open, so feel free to revisit old clues whenever inspiration strikes. At CSI, we love giving our Case Files a playful twist, and July’s investigations are bursting with bright, summery inspiration. This month, we’re celebrating National Watermelon Month and the spirited joy of Independence Day, inviting you to explore stories of sweetness, celebration, gathering, and the colorful moments that shape our midsummer memories.

There’s nothing quite like the refreshing magic of watermelon—the juicy slices, the cheerful pinks and greens, the carefree feeling of summer days spent outdoors. This Scene is full of playful, sun‑kissed charm: picnic blankets, seeds and stripes, breezy afternoons, and the simple delight of sharing something sweet.
The palette mixes lively pinks, greens, reds, and soft neutrals, echoing the colors of ripe fruit, grassy lawns, and warm July light. I started out using just the color combo (the large star) but then had some stickers call my name so I allowed it

I was inspired by the stars, and I also have puffy stickers.Our CSI Detectives have embraced the festive energy of July, crafting layouts that shine with patriotic color, heartfelt storytelling, and the vibrant possibilities of Case File No. 481.
