We're unveiling Case File No. 460 today, and our design team has been hard at work cracking this case and creating stunning layouts to inspire you. Scroll down to see how our talented Detectives interpreted the Scene!

And don’t forget—Case File No. 461 is also open for investigation. Both challenges are due September 4, 2025, and you can solve one or both cases if you're on a creative roll!

GUEST DETECTIVE SPOTS

Our Detective Squad is always hot on the trail of standout scrappers! If your layout leaves us awestruck, you just might get deputized as a Guest Detective. We’ll be combing through the case files on the 4th of each month, so make sure your evidence—er, layout—is filed in the album by then. And don’t worry—our cold cases are always open, so feel free to revisit old clues whenever inspiration strikes. Crack enough crafty cases and leave a trail of wow-worthy work… and you could find yourself recruited to our elite Design Team Task Force!

CASE FILES

August has us dreaming of sandy shores and sun-soaked adventures! This month’s Case Files are bursting with coastal charm and tropical flair—perfect for documenting beach days, poolside fun, summer getaways, or simply soaking up the season. From soft seaside hues to bold vacation vibes, our August Scenes are sure to make a splash on your scrapbook pages. But remember, you don’t have to follow the theme to crack the case. Let The Scene spark your own story, or use the traditional clues to guide your investigation—you’ll find them at the bottom of this post. However you choose to play, we can’t wait to see where the evidence leads you!

CSI  DETECTIVES

Our talented team of CSI Detectives has already kicked off their investigation, and their layouts are making waves with clever clues, creative twists, and storytelling that dives deep. Each page is a visual case study in how to crack this month’s sunny Scenes wide open.

From breezy beach vibes to vibrant summer stories, their evidence boards are brimming with inspiration. Scroll down to explore their findings—you just might uncover the perfect clue, color combo, or technique to lift for your own layout!

CASE FILE CLUES

Agents, the clues are all around you—waiting to be uncovered. You may choose to follow a single lead or gather the full spectrum of evidence. Whether you opt to work with one category of clues or assemble them all, the decision rests in your hands. Let the image be your prime suspect, your inspiration, or your guide through this case.

Use what sparks your creativity and challenge yourself to piece together as many clues as you dare. Your mission: decode the mystery, craft your layout, and bring the story to life.

The case is open—are you ready to solve it?

We trust the evidence laid before you is enough to crack these Cases wide open. You’ve got until July 4—and beyond (check the Guest Detective briefing for details)—to submit your solved cases.

We’re eager to see how you piece together the clues and bring your investigations to life. Upload your evidence—aka your creations—in our Facebook Group (album links are waiting for you in the sidebar).

Case closed… when you say so.
