Happy Easter! Well, it's not quite here, but it's just around the corner, and we're back with inspiration from our second April Case File, which centers on Easter. Remember, though, you don't have to scrap about Easter. Any topic will do!

If you haven't yet had time to play with our first challenge, you still have time as both challenges stay open until the 4th of May. We can't wait to see your creations!

This year, in addition to having sponsors donate prizes, CSI will be giving away a $20 (U.S. dollars) gift certificate to your favorite online craft store (must take Paypal) to one lucky player each month.

We'll also be inviting some players whose work catches our eye to serve as Guest Detectives.

GUEST DETECTIVES

Cynthia Baldwin

Hi, I'm Cynthia Baldwin. I live in Cypress, Texas (northwest Houston) with my husband of over 25 years, John. I have two kids, Nick and Aly, plus our fur baby Lucy. Both kids have flown the coop - at least during the school year. Since we’re now empty-nesters, Lucy has become the subject of many layouts, although my kids are good about sending selfies every so often.

I've been scrapbooking since before my kids were born (and have the stash of supplies to prove it!).

Thanks to Debbi and the CSI design team for providing me some much-needed inspiration for my memory-keeping.

I was inspired by the architectural elements clue. I've been wanting to document these photos of my family's dream trip to Spain, where we visited some amazing buildings and locales. I liked the soft color palette of the file, and I also used transparent elements (vellum), decorative borders, and circular embellishments.

Hi! I am a 53 year old engineer with 3 almost grown up children ( 15, 20 and 23). I live on an island on the west coast of Norway with my husband and my youngest .I love scrapbooking, reading, knitting and hiking, and also spending time at our cabin.

Evidence : stripes, dots, leaves, ribbon, hearts, something transparent, architectural elements, weaving and decorative borders.

Testimony: I have documented something about home - we used to have a bath tub.

My daughter and her cousin play together in the bath-tub when they were toddlers… just love the consentration in their faces… playing with water is always fun

Sharon Bishop

Hi! My name is Shazza, I live in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia!
I have three older children and one Granddaughter’Skyla’ who is the subject of a lot of my scrap pages. I have been scrapping for about fifteen years and I love challenges! My own style has developed over time as I love adding stitching, paper piecing or stitched fabric items to my pages. I am grateful to have the opportunity to be a Guest Designer this month.

I took my inspiration from the Easter basket house! Used the colour palette. The evidence I used…. Flowers and leaves, Easter themed elements, a banner, a bow, a front door. I also added Mr Easter Bunny to the basket! I added a chick that I had stitched on fabric holding a flag with a picture of my granddaughter eating an Easter egg from last year!
Such an enjoyable challenge!

INSPIRATION

And now, are you ready for some serious inspiration? Here's what our design team and Guest Detectives created with this month's second Case File.

The CSI design team masterfully cracked the Case. We'll share how we solved the Case on Facebook and Instagram.

CASE FILE CLUES

Choose as many or as few as you are inspired to use! You don't have to use all of the categories of clues. use what inspires you, or challenge yourself to use as many clues as you can. Or just use the image to inspire you as you wish!

Testimony Links: One Little Word and Haiku

Testimony Link: 4 Lines of Poetry

We trust we've provided enough clues for you to solve the Cases! You have until May 4, 2022, to solve both cases. We can't wait to see what you'll create! Upload your creations in our Facebook Group (album links in sidebar).
