November is in full swing, Detectives, and it’s time for our second Case File of the month!
We chose this particular case in honor of Sherlock Holmes Weekend, celebrated every November — the perfect excuse to embrace mystery, intrigue, and all things sleuthy. And if you haven’t had a chance to solve our first November Case File yet, don’t worry — both Cases will remain open until December 4, giving you plenty of time to examine the clues and get your layouts on the record.
And here’s an extra clue just for you: since we’re taking December off, you’ll actually have until January to complete the challenge. The blog will still say December 4, but feel free to take the extra time to finish your layouts at a relaxed holiday pace.
Inspired by The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Case File No. 467 invites you to slip on your detective hat, grab your magnifying glass, and unleash your investigative creativity.
The CSI Detectives are taking December off to enjoy the holidays and recharge our creative batteries.
But don’t worry—we’ll be back in January, ready with a fresh batch of Case Files to help you document your Christmas memories and cozy winter photos. Get your glue and glitter ready, because we’ve got lots of inspiration coming your way in the new year!![]()
Our Detective Squad is always hot on the trail of standout scrappers! If your layout leaves us awestruck, you just might get deputized as a Guest Detective. We’ll be combing through the case files on the 4th of each month, so make sure your evidence—er, layout—is filed in the album by then. And don’t worry—our cold cases are always open, so feel free to revisit old clues whenever inspiration strikes. Crack enough crafty cases and leave a trail of wow-worthy work… and you could find yourself recruited to our elite Design Team Task Force!
At CSI, we love giving our Case Files a playful twist, and November’s investigations couldn’t be more delightfully different! This month, we’re celebrating National Chicken Lady Day and Sherlock Holmes Weekend—two themes that promise both fun and intrigue.
Case File No. 466 brings a burst of whimsy with its trio of fabulously feathered friends—perfect for stories about friendship, laughter, and bold personalities. Think bright colors, playful patterns, and a touch of sass that struts right off the page.
Case File No. 467, on the other hand, calls for your detective hat and a dash of mystery. Inspired by the world’s most famous sleuth, this Case invites you to explore moody tones, classic details, clever design layers, and storytelling elements worthy of a case file in Baker Street itself.
But remember—you don’t have to stick to chickens or detectives to solve the case. Let the Scenes spark your imagination, or follow the traditional clues at the bottom of this post to guide your investigation. However you interpret the evidence, we can’t wait to see how your creativity cracks the case!
Looking for the traditional CSI clues? You’ll find them at the bottom of this post and on our Facebook page—just head to the first entry under the Case File album (click the Case File images above to go straight there).
Ready to submit your layout? Click on the Case Files in our sidebar to be taken to the corresponding Facebook album, where you can upload your evidence for all to see!

This Case File is packed with rich storytelling possibilities—subtle clues, intriguing textures, bold silhouettes, and a palette that feels straight out of a foggy London street scene. Whether you lean into the vintage details or take the colors in a completely modern direction, there's plenty here to get those creative gears turning.
Our brilliant detectives have done it again! The team followed the clues and crafted an incredible lineup of pages that range from whimsical to dramatic, heartfelt to adventurous. Be sure to explore each layout closely—you’ll find clever hidden details, playful takes on the theme, and lots of creative interpretations of the Evidence and Testimony prompts.
