Did you know May is Get Caught Reading Month? How perfect a celebration for scrapbookers! With that in mind, we found this delightful Scene to inspire our layouts.

INSPIRATION
So...are you ready for some serious inspiration?
The very talented Guest Detectives from Mixed Up-Mag, who are a main sponsor this month, solved the Case like this:
How Riikka solved the Case File: I did this layout "old school", too, and used all the colors of the Case File, Evidence and Testimony. My jumping off point for the page was the topic from the Testimony as I documented something about reading. I so wish I'd had more than 24 hours in a day to do fun things! I also tried to include the presentation part of the Testimony, as I wrote my journaling running across a label.
From the Evidence I included florals, flowers, labels and bling as well as puffy stickers, book pages and washi tape. I guess these are easy to spot, but gold embellishments and especially vintage elements might be harder. I'm not sure if a title is embellishment, but that was the inspiration for the golden, sparkly Thickers. And the vintage part, there's an old button hiding near the photo.
How Heather solved the Case File: The kids and I went to visit my friend Laneen in Holland and we got to see some of the sites and make some memories. The colour palette worked perfect for my pictures of Eusebius Tower. The rich tones of light cherry red and ballerina pink pulled the colours out of the photos.
My Evidence: I can add flowers to anything, seeing spring was in the air it was perfect. Along with some ribbon weaved through out the page to add that extra texture. I also used some old vintage tissue paper to add to the layers of the focal point. I highlighted the elements with some gold paint to attract to the gold center's of the flowers.
Testimony: I added a little info on a storage label with the date and a snippet of Eusebius Tower.

How Lisette solved the Case File: I have taken inspiration from the title – Get Caught Reading and the colours. Evidence – Solid background, floral pattern, flowers, book page, gold washi tape and inked chipboard. Testimony – Documented how I love reading, on a label.

How Tania solved the Case File: I took inspiration from the colours, and the big flowers.Used a floral pattern, flowers, labels, bling, gold elements, and used some blank book pages behind my photo.
Here is how the CSI Detectives have expertly cracked the case. You can read more about how the Case File inspired them on their blogs (links on sidebar).
How Annie solved the Case File: I went semi old-school with this one, adding some turquoise/aqua into the colour scheme, taking solid background, stripes, labels and gold elements from the evidence list and using the inspiration word "style". This picture captures the moment that we realised that the tea towel in our rented holiday cottage matched my shirt exactly
How Annie solved the Case File: Well, I was so keen to make sure I did this page before we went on hols last week, that I got carried away and made two pages! Old-school again - I added some soft aqua/green to the colour scheme, used several items from the evidence list such as pleating, tissue, stripes, bling, puffy stickers, labels, washi and gold elements, and my journaling is written on labels.
How Wendy solved the Case File: 254 inspired by the book page print and the pom pom flowers, I stamped flowers painted them with mists and inks! Almost kept to the colour theme too!
How Ginger solved the Case File: This layout is my grandson Logan and his date for his high school prom. I love the colors we were asked to use for they are all so bright and pretty which made me think of this sweet photo.
How Lisa-Marie solved the Case File: This was such a pretty palette to work with! I used a solid background as my base; further, I used paper with stripes and paper with gold elements. I took inspiration from her necklace (and round pompom flowers!) and added some paper with dots on. I also incorporated paper with print on it to echo the book. Lastly, I fussy cut some flowers to finish off my overall layout.
How Nina solved the Case File: Still hanging on to the traditional color palette here using these pieces of evidence from the list: flowers, label, bling and glitter (fairy dust).
How Sandra solved the Case File: I was inspired by the colours, the reading challenge, as seen I am reading to a dog, lol. I used vintage items on the layout, as well as stripes, bookpaper and flowers.
How Carina solved the Case File: I was inspired of the photo and the colors. In the photo I could see a notebook and the name of the designer of it which made me think of my bag I use for work. It´s the exact same brand as the notebook. So why not journal about something I really use EVERY day to work?
