Tell your story. It's our tagline, and here at CSI, it's one of our missions to get our members to delve deeper into journaling--to document the meaningful bits and pieces that make up our lives. We would like to shine a special spotlight each week on a member who did an exceptional job telling their story. And we'd like to thank
Scrapbook Fantasies for donating a wonderful prize to our Star Witness for each Case File.
Star Witnesses, please send me your mailing address via private message on our
CSI Facebook page for your prize.
Vija's beautiful layout caught our eye, and even though she added quite a bit of blue to the palette, which was perfect for the beach photo of the precious dog, we were so touched by this gift she made for her friend who lost her dog and so impressed by her poem, that we had to name Vija Star Witness. Vija's poem, written on the back, reads:
Whenever you go to sleep I will run in your dreams
When your tears dry on your face it's because I've licked them
When Mardee suddenly turns it's because I said "come on let's play"
I will never leave you-I'm always just a thought away
I will be watching and waiting
I know you are doing the same
I leave you my love because my pawprint is on your heart
I am your dog-your Willow!
For each Case File, three of our favorite layouts will be chosen to feature as our "Most Wanted." As with last month, there were so many outstanding pages, we couldn't choose just three.
And a few more that caught our eye...

Gunilla R
We're not exactly sure what Gunilla's journaling says, but we thought it was awesome that she incorporated a lot of journaling onto her page design. We love how she displayed it on a homemade postcard, and she also wrote a sweet little letter and tucked it in a wee envelope:

Oh, thanks for choosing me as star witness! Here is the translation of the home made postcard: "Hi Patrik, as you have noticed I haven't been at home so much this weekend. We have had fantastic amazing at this scrap-event: workshops, shopping and crafting. Now we are sitting and eating and have some wine and celabrate my 50 years birthday. Gunilla". And the super small letter says: "Thanks Patrik for being so nice and driving us home from the Scrap event!"
