March Case Files - First Reveal | Deadline: April 4, 2021

Happy March! Spring is right around the corner, even if the weather isn't quite telling us yet. We're excited to bring new challenges, new sponsors, and new guest designers to inspire you!

We hope you've been enjoying the February challenges, and don't forget that if you haven't yet had a chance to play, we've added a few extra days to the deadline--submissions will always be accepted by the 4th of the next month.

For this first reveal, we'll be sharing inspiration from the design team and guest designers for our first Case File. On the 15th, we'll be sharing inspiration from the design team and guest designers for our second Case File as well as our Cold Case File, our special stash-busting challenge.

SPONSORS

This month, we have eight generous sponsors donating prizes! Click here to read more about our sponsors and the prizes they are donating. Winners will be selected randomly from all of our players, with a few exceptions where sponsors have asked us to choose from certain geographic regions.

CASE FILES

We're celebrating National Kite Month and International Ideas Month (for our Cold Case) with our Case Files, but as always, you don't have to scrap this topic. Draw your own inspiration from The Scene on the Case File, or you can use the traditional clues, which can be found at the bottom of this blog post.

The talented Guest Detectives from the 2Crafty design team expertly cracked the Case.

How Rachael solved the case:
Inspired by: the scene & the color scheme,
Evidence: Flowers, branches,
Testimony: Inspirational word – Friend

The inspiring Guest Detectives from the Bramble design team rocked the Case.

How Wendy solved the Case: I was inspired by the colour combination and the flowers and branches . From the picture I took inspiration from the cherry blossom . I used tulle and crepe paper to create a small trim between my layers at the top of the LO. I also a photo with a friend from the inspiration words and added flowers to the LO . It was a great challenge.

The talented Guest Detectives from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio design team beautifully solved the Case.

How Sue solved the Case:  I was initially guided by the colour scheme, which led me to use the beautiful 'Happiness' collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.
Evidence: Floral patterns / flowers (fussy cut from patterned paper); fish or other animals (photo of my cat, pictured with a book of cats!); circular embellishments (paper doily); string / fibre (frayed gauze). Testimony: presentation - added flowers to journal spot

Sophie used the Merry & Bright collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.
